Strada Verde 2
The Strada Verde designs were inspired by topographic maps: the simple two-dimensional series of undulating lines that can represent majestic, vast, and breathtaking landforms. Taking this idea and rethinking planters and pots, Strada Verde juxtaposes representational geographic landforms with small succulents to create a whimsical design. Recycled construction wood scraps are layered and carved to reveal the "topographic lines". Since the material is construction scraps, many times the imperfections in the wood dictate the the design of the piece creating something that is not only unique but practical.
